7 Healthy habits for successful women in 2020

Let’s face it life can get pretty crazy during the week, especially when you’re trying to run a business and working full-time.

If you are serious about being efficient and healthy at the same time you’re going to want to commit to setting up a defined schedule.

This will help towards reaching those milestones you’ve been putting off and give down time to relax and avoid burnout.

While most people will tell you to work on your business when you get home, I know firsthand how tired and uninspired you can feel by the time the end of the day comes.

Here are few tips to creating a healthy routine that allows for personal time and business progress.

Start your day early

If you wake up early in the morning you’ll be more refreshed and focused. This especially comes in handy if you work full-time at a 9-5.

The extra time you have to complete your morning routine or get started on your work will allow you to have more time to allocate to working on your dream, your business, and the task you want to put more focus on while you have the energy.

Typically what happens is by the end of the day, we are tired and have a hard time getting motivated to do what it feels like is more “work.”

As a non-morning person this is sometimes still something I struggle with and I started slowly. First just try getting up an extra 15 minutes, then up your time to 25 minutes and work your way up depending on the amount of time you’ll personally need to get things done.

Take time to reflect and express your gratitude

Many successful people will tell you that it is important to be grateful and reflect on the things you already have that are not promised to you.

Every day we should be working on our mindset and personal development will positively impact your business.

Personally, I set aside 20 to 30 minutes time to pray for guidance and strength and reflect on my day ahead.

Take your time to collect your thoughts, spend time praying and reflecting.

 Create and follow a plan you can stick to

Most people don’t just become successful overnight. Many have tried and failed before that finally reached their goals.

But we have to get started on a good plan before we see any progress. Having a plan will give you an idea every day you get up, that you can work towards.

Sticking to a plan that will help you achieve you goals faster by reminding you what needs to be done, who you need to reach out to, and defined deadlines.

Don’t just wing it!  Swinging in the dark and completing random tasks won’t help you succeed in the larger scheme of your goals.

Keep in mind that it’s okay if your plan changes or your goals change. This is simply going to help stir you in the right direction.

Eat a healthy diet

You’ve heard the saying, “You are what you eat.”  You need to be sure to eat a healthy diet on a daily basis. Having a healthy and balanced diet can really affect all aspects of your life, including your business, career and your personal wellness.

It takes a lot of energy to really get the momentum you want to reach your potential. In order to feel your best, you need to be careful of what you are putting into your body.

Try cutting back on the fatty foods, like fast-food, and the overly processed foods and sugary drinks.

Eating well will make you feel better and will give you more energy than you would have if you ate processed foods.

Everything can be done in moderation.  It’s okay to eat these types of foods every once in a while but don’t make this your entire diet.

Get Exercise

Exercising regularly increases your heart rate and your blood flow.

It is very important to make time for exercising at home, the gym or just having a daily walk when we work so hard in our business, work, and daily lives. Take time for yourself daily, be active and proactive with your physical, mental and emotional health.

Keep your schedule and workspace organized

It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed with your task and projects. But in order to be as proactive as you can be you need to be organized.

This means creating a task schedule, keeping important documents in a safe place, and organizing your contacts.

Just think if you have an urgent situation come up, you should quickly be able to find what you need.

Write down a daily to do list that fits along with your overall plan. Remember don’t try to eat the whole pie at once, but eat it slice by slice.

This is going to be crucial for business owners.

Getting a good amount of rest

This goes along with my first tip for getting up early. In addition to waking up early you’ll need to go to sleep earlier as well.

Rest will give you the natural energy your body needs to heal, relax, and re-focus.

Try to get at least the recommended 7-8 hours of nightly rest.

Remember, you will be getting up earlier in the morning so don’t stay up all night trying to finish projects. Save it for the when you wake up.

Final thoughts

There are many factors that make a successful routine. But no matter what habits you choose to develop as your own, make sure it allows for downtime and meditation, organization, mental and spiritual focus, and rest.
